Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency. 

 

Production Engineer W/M

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Process Analysis and Deviation Resolution

- Identify daily production losses and process deviations and prepare action plans to quickly adjust and to avoid these situations in the future.

- Perform advanced statistical analyses, such as statistical process control (CPK), to detect trends and variations.

- Propose and implement technical improvements. o Identify and solve process problems.

  • Process Control Management

- Maintain updated mass and energy balances to ensure accurate understanding of production flows.

- Collaborate and propose necessary adjustments in control philosophies to stabilize operations.

- Provide high-level technical support to plant leaders and supervisors to maintain operational standards during the ramp-up.

  • Coordination and Technical Support

- Act as the primary technical bridge between control engineers, laboratory, maintenance, operators and other stakeholders to ensure a stable and sustainable operation.

- Work closely with the Operational Technology (OT) team to diagnose and resolve critical system or automation issues.

- Lead the diagnosis of major process deviations and coordinate with the CTO or relevant departments for significant process changes.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting

- Contribute to the update and analysis of the daily dashboard to support informed decision-making.

- Communicate key results and significant deviations to relevant stakeholders.

  • Continuous Development

- Actively engage in a rotation program across different process areas to develop expertise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Safety and Environment

- Accomplish current Occupational Health Safety, Environment and Quality policies

 

Your profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Experience: previous experience in a technical role within a plant or production site, ideally in process or optimization.
  • Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of process control tools and mass balance analysis.

- Familiarity with industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA).

- Proficiency in data analysis and technical problem-solving.

- Proficiency in P&ID’s and PFD’s technical usage.

- Aspen or similar software handling

- Autocad handling

  • Interpersonal Skills:

- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Performance-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
