Job description:
The EC&I Construction Supervisor will oversee Expansion Project Phase 2 construction and installation activities at the WCP/MSP plant and site. Their role encompasses managing the construction phase until commissioning and final handover, with a focus on Red/Brown fields construction and shutdown activities.
We offer a 12-month fixed-term contract with a choice of 5/3 expat roster or residential arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise contractors and work activities for Expansion Phase 2.
- Assess and manage safety hazards.
- Ensure quality procedures are adhered to.
- Implement Company site rules.
- Conduct regular inspections of contractors.
- Assist construction managers in planning the work program.
- Prioritize and plan deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records and site reports.
- Attend site management and production meetings.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Address safety concerns and implement improvements.
- Review and sign permits daily.
- Manage progress reporting and proper handover processes.
- Interface with WCP/MSP and construction managers daily.
- Provide daily feedback to WCP/MSP and GCO Management.
Your profile:
- Proven experience as a Construction EC&I Supervisor in heavy construction projects.
- Minimum of 15 years in EC&I installation/construction.Experience in mine expansion and marine projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Extensive HSE and QC experience in EC&I construction and expansion projects.
- Excellent understanding and experience in EC&I installation and commissioning.
- Experience in lifting, rigging, and SCADA systems.
- Proficient in VSD, ABB, and Siemens drive systems.
- Fully bilingual in English.
- Hands-on approach with problem-solving capabilities.
