Comilog Dunkerque alongside Eramet Norway, Eramet Marietta and Comilog’s Moanda Metallurgical Complex—is one of the Eramet Group’s manganese alloy producing plants that work in synergy in order to improve efficiency. For example, the Dunkirk plant uses by-products from Eramet Norway’s plants.

The Comilog Dunkerque facility is determined to play an active role in protecting its environment and improving its industrial practices: Comilog Dunkerque is careful to keep its energy consumption to a minimum and complies with the needs of the public power grid when required, On-site rainwater collection: a new settling pond has been built to capture and decant rainwater before it is reused in the production process, The dust emitted by the process is captured and transformed into briquettes before being recycled in the furnace.

We are looking for an Environment, Energy and Climate (EEC) Manager for our Dunkirk plant. As the site’s technical and scientific reference, you will play a key role in maintaining the company’s ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications, working closely with the Quality, Health and Safety Manager while supporting the Management team in its relations with external stakeholders. You will also anticipate future developments by analyzing medium and long-term trends in your field.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Contribute to the deployment and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), in close collaboration with the Quality, Health & Safety Manager.
  • Lead and monitor the progress of Environmental and Energy action plans.
  • Manage environmental and energy reporting for the site, both internally and to the ERAMET Group and authorities (GEREP, GIDAF, SPPPI, etc.).

 

  • Define, coordinate, and assess the effectiveness of the annual EEC policy in alignment with Group requirements and management reviews.
  • Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification and renewal processes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to the IMS and the EEC scope.
  • Monitor site energy consumption, CO surveillance plans, emission quotas, and energy performance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with waste management regulations and contribute to the valorization of waste and by-products from silico-manganese production.
  • Maintain regulatory and normative watch in all areas related to environment, energy, and climate.
  • Represent COMILOG Dunkerque within Eramet’s competence groups, working closely with other sites of the Manganese Alloys Business Unit.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Energy or Environment or a general technical field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong command of management system tools and methodologies (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Energy).
  • Solid knowledge of QHSE regulations and standards applicable to industrial sites.
  • Professional English required (regular interactions within the Eramet Group).
  • Rigorous, methodical, and well-organized in executing missions.
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership: able to listen, empower, delegate, and support teams.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
