Pyrometallurgy Expert Process Engineer - M/F

Eramet's Central Technical Department develops and deploys the best standards and practices for the Group's operations.
Job description:
The Pyrometallurgy Expert Process Engineer improves the technical performance of the Group's pyrometallurgical plants and develops technical skills and expertise at our Mn and Ni alloys sites.
You will report to the Central Technical Department's Process & Maintenance Manager.
You will participate in project definition and lead the implementation of the R&D program. You will provide technical and decision-making support to the R&D and ICG (International Competence Groups) teams.
This role involves liaising between production and process managers at plants in Norway, USA, Caledonia and Gabon, and R&D teams in France and Norway.
Frequent travel is required (50% of the time).
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support to plants (assist with new projects, reinforce on-site teams for one-off events, etc.);
- Identify priority improvement actions at sites during on-site audits
- Monitor the implementation of Best Practices in plants
- Identify resources that can provide technical support to sites (other plants, R&D, external resources, etc.).
- Contribute to the development of the Group's R&D program in agreement with the Metallurgical Engineering-Process Manager, and manage its implementation while respecting costs and deadlines.
- Contribute to the knowledge management approach and identify best practices and share them with the sites
Your Profile:
With a Master's degree or a degree in general engineering or chemistry, you have 5 to 10 years' experience in pyrometallurgy in a plant environment.
You also have the following skills:
- Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment
- As the position is in an international environment, fluency in English and French is required.
