Control Room Project Leader (FMS) W/M

Responsibilities :

  • Control Room Development & Systems

- Lead the design, deployment and operationalisation of the WBN Central Control Room at KM17 and the four area control rooms.

- Coordinate implementation and optimisation of the Fleet Management System across all contractor equipment and all operational areas.

- Integrate production monitoring, safety monitoring (speed, fatigue, CCTV) and environmental monitoring into a unified operational platform.

- Define and implement control room operational standards, governance processes and data quality protocols.

  • Operational Monitoring & Performance

- Ensure real-time visibility of mining extraction, hauling, crushing and stockpile activities across all four operational areas.

- Track production KPIs at area level and consolidate data for management reporting to VP Mining, KTT and Area Managers.

- Coordinate operational information flows between Area Managers, the Op Performance Manager and central technical teams.

- Support decision-making through timely, accurate data provision; identify bottlenecks and escalate abnormal operational trends.

  • Safety & Compliance Monitoring

- Deploy and manage speed and gradient monitoring systems; establish and enforce escalation protocols for non-compliant equipment movements.

- Integrate fatigue monitoring data streams into operational supervision workflows across all areas.

- Support equipment commissioning compliance tracking; flag non-compliant or expired units for operational intervention.

- Provide reliable data inputs for HSE reporting, incident investigations and weekly safety reviews.

  • Digital Transformation Leadership

- Lead the WBN digitalisation agenda within the control room and FMS scope, in coordination with the Supply, Planning and FMS Manager.

- Build the integrated digital data pipeline from field data capture to centralised analysis and management reporting.

- Coordinate with Eramet Group digital and IT teams on system deployment, integration and support.

- Identify and deploy digital tools that improve operational safety, efficiency and compliance.

  • Mission

- Deliver a fully operational, integrated WBN Mining Control Room that gives Area Managers and central management real-time visibility of all operational and safety-critical activities.

- Build the FMS and digital monitoring infrastructure that underpins both production accountability and safety compliance in the new decentralised WBN organisation.

- Reduce operational blind spots — particularly around haulage road safety, equipment compliance and fatigue — through live monitoring and structured escalation.

- Establish a sustainable, Indonesian-led control room team capable of operating and evolving the system independently after expatriate transition.

  • Key Performance Improvement Areas

- FMS fleet coverage rate across all contractor equipment and all operational areas

- Completeness and timeliness of operational production data and shift reports

- Speed exceedance detection and escalation response times

- Control room system availability and data quality

- Development of Indonesian control room operators and supervisors to operational autonomy

- Reduction in operational blind spots and data gaps across the four areas

  • Leadership & Safety Culture

- Build a control room culture in which safety monitoring is treated with the same urgency as production monitoring — every speed exceedance, fatigue alert or compliance gap triggers an immediate response.

- Model and reinforce a culture of data integrity: never adjust, minimise or delay reporting of safety-relevant data.

- Ensure control room teams understand the real-world consequences of the data they monitor; connect monitoring activity to the safety of field personnel.

- Support area safety culture by ensuring the control room provides timely, actionable safety intelligence to Area Managers and supervisors.

  • Talent Development & Knowledge Transfer

- Identify Indonesian control room personnel with leadership potential; build structured development plans targeting full operational autonomy.

- Transfer technical knowledge of FMS, dispatch, CCTV and data systems through active on-the-job coaching; ensure Indonesian team members can operate and troubleshoot independently.

- Define the succession profile for the Control Room Project Leader role; work with the Supply, Planning and FMS Manager to identify and develop internal candidates.

- Document system architectures, operating procedures and technical knowledge in formats accessible to Indonesian successors.
