Mine production engineer H/F
Purpose of the position:
Weda Bay Project: JV between Tsingshan (majority shareholder) and Eramet, as well as PT Antam (10%). The company is opening (building road and infrastructure) and will be operating a mining concession (Contract Of Work) for a minimum 4WMT/y of Ni ore (up to 15Mwmt/y), while building and then operating a 30kt Ni contained NPI plant. The total workforce in the mining project will be between 1 000 to 2 500 persons, including contractors.
In the frame of the Weda Bay project in Indonesia, the jobholder is part of the PT Weda Bay Mine Engineering team in order to:
- Demonstrate personal commitment to good Safety and Environmental practices;
- Manage a team of data management engineers and the supervise the daily input of data
- Guarantee the quality of the data and develop a central SQL database, critical to the success and control of the operations
- Ensure the accuracy of daily KPI reports and dashboards, develop new KPI reports and dashboards according to needs
- Apply operational excellence methodology to improve overall performances, lead key operational performance projects
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to: Mine Operational Excellence Superintendent
- Respect the safety and environmental standards for the mining activity
- Manage and train a team of data management engineers
- Supervise the input of data critical to the operation with one central SQL database
- Maintain the quality and integrity of the supply chain database
- Develop the database to include additional datasets when necessary
- Provide and ensure the accuracy of daily KPI reports and dashboards
- Support the Data Management team in maintaining the quality and integrity of the supply chain database
- Liaise closely with the Mining Division Team: HSE, Environment, Operation, Geology, Engineering, Mine Development and Construction
- Apply operational excellence methodology to improve overall performances, lead key operational performance projects
- Promote the continuous improvement in performances
About you:
- Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Advanced level in English, written and spoken
- Experience in working in mine or quarry is preferable
