Safety Reporting & Data Analyst

Location:  Halmahera,Indonesia
Contract type:  Temporary

Main purpose of the position
The Safety Reporting & Data Analyst ensures the collect, the registration, the analysis of all relevant data related to the Health & Safety Department (Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Process Safety and Emergency Response).
The Safety Reporting & Data Analyst is responsible of the correct data report from the field into the System and of the development of the trends observed based on the figures for a proper understanding.

 

Scope of the position (key dimensions)
Key element of the H&S Team to ensure accuracy of the data collected for an exhaustive interpretation and use.

 

Major challenges faced / points of complexity
The consistent focus on the H&S risk identification, elimination and mitigation, regular updating and maintain of the overall risk register and continuous approaches to occupational risk owners and stakeholders for alignment and approaches to promote the PDCA cycling on H&S risk control.

 

Major Responsibilities / outputs
• Participates to the definition of the data collection and reporting system
• Gives orientation on the reporting development with a permanent objective of simplifying the process
• Structure, and update the collect and reporting system
• Ensures compliance with the Corporate reporting requirements
• Raises alerts on uncontrolled and or emerging collect or reporting issues
• Uses all relevant tools to facilitate data collection and analysis of trends
• Develop user friendly tools for data collection and analysis of trends
• Prepare regular presentations for the periodic meetings, with fit for purpose material
• Collaborate with all the relevant functions: Field safety, Safety risk, HR, Environment, CSR
• Transform data into visible management tools
• Perfectly understand the procedures, rules, standards of the project
• As needed, perform any task agreed upon with the reporting Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Min. post graduate degree in HSE, Engineering, Technical Science or other related background
  • Have experienced as data analyst
  • Very strong skills in data management IT tools
  • More than 5 years of diverse international experience, specifically in working in large projects
  • Ability to work in a multi‐cultural environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong Problem‐Solving Skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a multi‐disciplinary team environment.
  • Enthusiastic learner committed to maintaining expertise through practice and continuing professional development.
  • Keen to understand the root causes of incidents/accidents & to use that understanding to help the project avoid them
