Safety Risk Engineer
Main purpose of the position
The safety risk engineer is responsible for the occupational risk assessment and analysis and ensure the regular compliance and also facilitate and contribute the long-term development for the elimination and mitigation of occupational risk by different approaches like Job Safety Analysis, work permit, SIMOPs, etc
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, and implement in-process and operational audits to evaluate the adequacy of occupational risk control and compliance of the standards, internal and project requirements
- Conduct regular audits to improve the management system and make preventive actions regarding the mitigation of the occupational risk in a correct way and effectively.
- Drive PDCA on audit findings and root causes and resolve key audit findings.
- Responsible for the occupational risk analysis and occupational risk assessment at the site
- Conduct the regular review of the JSA and the work permit for any potential occupational risk.
- Conduct occupational risk mitigation and ensure the regulatory compliance.
- Support the management of the SIMOPs, facilitate the development of the golden rules and essential requirements for occupational risk management.
- Develop & manage occupational risk engineering field survey programs.
- Hold the meeting with representatives of occupational owners to verify risk mitigation approaches.
- Develop and maintain the Safety Management System.
- Implement and control the application by the contractors of the management Standards.
- Ensure gap analysis with international and local safety standards.
- Develop training material.
- Ensure constantly links with other risk management plans, risk registers, risk profile, process hazard studies.
- Give advise to the management related to loss prevention and give recommendations.
- Present and explain conclusions clearly and concisely to the management, by providing them with the engineering knowledge to support the occupational risk mitigation.
- Write internal reports in an accurate and timely fashion to the management for the occupational risk compliance review.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Science, Mathematics, Business, Civil Engineering, Medical or business administration. Master's Degree is a plus
- Have prior experience as Project Safety Risk Engineer in large project, or involve in a complex industrial capital projects in diverse international environment
- Have knowledge in management standards, such as: ISO 45001 and others
- Have familiarity with internal and external audit processes
- Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
- Able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
