Purpose of the position:
In the frame of the Weda Bay project in Indonesia, reporting to the Mine Engineer Manager, the jobholder is part of the PT Weda Bay Mine Engineering team in order to:
Demonstrate personal commitment to good Safety and Environmental practices;
Guarantees the completion of weekly mining sequence and weekly haulage sequence, in terms of volume and quality, according to targets set by management, provide adjustments to the plan when necessary.
Guarantees the completion of short-term designs: safety designs (berms, coactivity), accesses, dumps, roads, blasting, water management, slope stability.
Daily interface and coordination with mining operation, QC team, maintenance teams from Weda Bay Nickel and Contractors
Develop the use of Hexagon Mining software for short term mine planning
Responsibilities:
• Respect the safety and environmental standards for the mining activity
• Guarantees the completion of weekly mining sequence and weekly haulage sequence, in terms of volume and quality
• Guarantees the completion of short-term designs: safety designs (berms, coactivity), accesses, dumps, roads, blasting, water management, slope stability
• Daily interface with mining operation, QC team, maintenance team to follow up and adjustments to the schedules
• Develop the use of Hexagon Mining software for short term mine planning
• Train and develop the skills of junior mine planning engineers
• Promote the continuous improvement in performances
• Liaise closely with the Mining Division Team: HSE, Environment, Operation, Geology, Engineering, Mine Development and Construction
About you:
• Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Advanced level in English, written and spoken
• 2-year experience in working mine or quarry
• Strong communication skills
• Logical and analytical thinking skills
• Sensitivity and understanding
• Knowledge of how companies operate
• Transparency and ethics
• Strong ability to work in a team
