Purpose of the position:
In the frame of the Weda Bay operations the jobholder is part of the PT Weda Bay team to develop and implement the best standards in mine/plan operation and conduct innovation and CO2 reduction program.
Scope: JV between Tsingshan (majority shareholder) and Eramet, as well as PT Antam (10%). The company is building road and infrastructure and operating a mining concession (Contract of Work) for a minimum 30 Mwmt/y of Ni ore (up to 83 Mwmt/y), while operating a 30kt Ni contained NPI plant. Total investment for these operations is valued at 525 M$. The total workforce in the mining project will be between 9500 to 12 000 persons, including contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and implementation of Eramet Production System in all the operational functions (mine operation, maintenance, technical services, environment, rehabilitation, …) at PT Weda Bay
- Develop and train teams on Operational Excellence tools, Lead some continuous improvement projects.
- Lead the CO2 reduction impact and energy efficiency improvement.
- Develop and lead the digital transformation program.
- R&D on knowledge of the different kind of ores, developing resources estimation method, valorization, ore processing.
- Follow-up the process to keep the plant at its optimal operating point.
- Take part in various strategic projects aimed at improving the plant safety and performances, or develop new products.
- Represent PT WBN in the mining International Competent Group (ICG) and implement the Best Practices of ERAMET.
- Follow the different improvement actions plan and link with Eramet group.
About you:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Mine/Geology Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years combined experience in benchmark mine operations.
- Fluent in English
