Process Engineer M/W

Location:  Halmahera,Indonesia
Contract type:  Permanent

Purpose of the position:

 

In the frame of the Weda Bay operations the jobholder is part of the PT Weda Bay Division management team in order to Improve the performance of Weda bay through process optimization and control.

 

Scope: JV between Tsingshan (majority shareholder) and Eramet, as well as PT Antam (10%). The company is building road and infrastructure and operating a mining concession (Contract Of Work) for a minimum 30 Mwmt/y of Ni ore (up to 83 Mwmt/y), while operating a 30kt Ni contained NPI plant. Total investment for these operations is valued at 525M$. The total workforce in the mining project will be above 10 000 persons, including contractors. 50% of the industrial park feeding comes from the PT WBN mines (20 Mwmt to 60 Mwmt/y).

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Interface between Mines and plants (ore quality, variability, homogenization…)
  • Develop and implement process and performances indicators (dashboards)
  • Follow-up the process to keep the plant at its optimal operating point.
  • Take part in various strategic projects aimed at improving the plant safety and performances, or develop new products.
  • Review the SOP with the local team.

 

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in metallurgical/Process Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years combined experience in metallurgical plant operations
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin (minimum level B)
