Eramet Indonesia is an integral part of the Eramet. Its presence in Indonesia dates back more than 17 years, with nickel exploration investment in Central Halmahera, North Maluku, Indonesia. Eramet has partnered with Tsingshan Group in Weda Bay Nickel (WBN). With significant investments in infrastructure and modern technology, Eramet Indonesia is committed to meeting the growing demand for mineral resources and contributing to Indonesia's sustainable growth, particularly in energy transition. Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and monitor the a Biodiversity Management and Monitoring program for WBN which incorporate ESIA, AMDAL, and other Biodiversity study/ documents
- Support the elaboration and implementation of an offset program to be implemented to achieve No Net Loss or even Net gain in biodiversity value for WBN project.
- Manage and update Biodiversity data and maps on regular basis
- Develop and Implement method for Biodiversity management and monitoring, including tools and equipment needed.
- Regularly conduct necessary reporting regarding Biodiversity for internal and external purpose
- Conduct of propose new studies on necessary biodiversity topics
- Liaise with the relevant government representatives and consultants regarding the Biodiversity Action Plan implementation.
- Expand the knowledge and expertise of the team on site regarding Biodiversity and rehabilitation by conducting Training, awareness, regular communication.
- Identify supporting institutions and partners (including NGOs) for collaboration on biodiversity programs and offset projects
- Document and report on biodiversity observations during the life of mine operations and maintain a database
Profile andRequirement:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in environmental engineering or Forestry Management
- Minimum 8 years combined experience in environment mining operations
- Minimum 8 years of experience at a managerial level and multicultural environment
- Forestry Technical Resource (GANIS)
- Willing to have a regular frequent travel to site (min. 2 weeks)
