Eramet Indonesia is an integral part of the Eramet. Its presence in Indonesia dates back more than 17 years, with nickel exploration investment in Central Halmahera, North Maluku, Indonesia. Eramet has partnered with Tsingshan Group in Weda Bay Nickel (WBN). With significant investments in infrastructure and modern technology, Eramet Indonesia is committed to meeting the growing demand for mineral resources and contributing to Indonesia's sustainable growth, particularly in energy transition. Major Responsibilities / outputs

 

Lead generation:

  • Be on top of current and emerging industry trends for Nickel and other commodities of interest for Eramet. Timely engage with senior officers in Paris and in Indonesia to discuss impactful issues and develop mitigating plans.
  • Deliver new business opportunities by identifying, framing and project managing large and complex BD projects.
  • Build and enhance a network of key industry contacts (investment banks, local and international industry players, government officials, consultants, and key mining suppliers) to constantly feed the pipeline of opportunities.

 

Stakeholder management:

  • Become an ambassador for Eramet, clearly communicating the value proposition associated to developing businesses with Eramet.
  • Maintain close relationships with potential partners to capture commercial insights and develop innovative commercial propositions thatpositionEramet as a partner of choice.
  • Build relationships with key government officials, industry participants, capital markets and specialized consultants.
  • Work in partnership with Eramet’s Corporate Affairs and Communication teams to develop positioning/influencing strategies to increase Eramet chances of securing new businesses.

 

Project Management:

  • Manage virtual teams by drawing on available resources within the different functions (corporate and local) ensuring team members are clear on the implementation of Eramet’s capture strategy.
  • Coordinate all Business Development activity and support potential transformational M&A activities in Indonesia, ensuring key stakeholders have enough visibility of the pipeline so strategic decisions can be discussed and made.

 

Qualifications and experience

 

You must have a solid track record of business development, M&A or consulting experience gained at manager level, preferably within a large organization.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, presentation, influencing, negotiating and project management skills; and be confident dealing with senior managers at both internal and external organizations.

You are able to understand technical aspects of mining and mineral processing operations and translate them into business cases and commercial models that manage value transfer and risk.

You will be proactive, tenacious and have a proven ability to work to tight deadlines, juggling multiple projects and delivering under pressure.

In more detail, we are seeking for individuals with:

 

  • Proven business development experience that includes identifying, negotiating, and delivering commercial opportunities (5+ 10 years in this area of expertise).
  • Very developed network with the Indonesian government and the metals and minerals association (APNI, etc)
  • Strategic mindset to formulate commercial and risk management proposals, maximizing value for Eramet.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex and uncertain business situations to different stakeholders.
  • Financial acumen to model business opportunities.
  • Ability to mobilize remote teams and to navigate complex matrix organizations in multicultural environment.
  • Able to politically navigate large international organizations. Experience balancing interactions with project teams, senior managers and key decision makers.
  • Strong influencing skills and intercultural skills.
  • Tenacity, resilience, emotional intelligence.
  • International working experience and exposure.
  • Education: Engineering and/or Business degree.
  • Fluent in English, other languages beneficial.
