Senior Training and Development Specialist

Eramet, a global mining and metallurgy leader, is seeking a Senior Training and Development Specialist to join our dynamic team in Indonesia. This role is crucial for leading, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating impactful training and workshops tailored to the diverse needs of our workforce. The successful candidate will work closely across various disciplines within Indonesia to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance, contributing to the overall success of Eramet Indonesia.

 

Main Purpose of the Position:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs, ensuring alignment with Eramet’s strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • Focus on the effective delivery and monitoring of mandatory training programs through various platforms and formats, including Eramet’s Learning Management System (LMS) and Training Management System (TMS), as well as in-house and external development initiatives.

 

Major Challenges:

  • Developing and delivering training on a broad spectrum of topics to a diverse workforce with varied cultures, experiences, and skill levels.
  • Managing training budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

 

Major Responsibilities / Outputs:

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content, working closely with subject matter experts and managers.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify and address specific learning requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops focused on course design, online teaching, leadership, and soft skills training.
  • Design assessment instruments and criteria to evaluate learner performance.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, incorporating feedback to continuously improve programs.
  • Control and manage the training budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Implement mentoring and coaching programs to support employee development.
  • Maintain and manage all training documentation and systems, including LMS and TMS.
  • Develop Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) training to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Design and manage comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Support the creation and implementation of individual development plans for high-potential employees.
  • Develop succession planning programs and criteria to identify and prepare employees for promotional opportunities.
  • Oversee the Eramet Indonesia Scholarship Program.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Educational Background:

  • Degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, or a related field.
  • Certifications in instructional design, training facilitation, or leadership development are advantageous.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years experience in curriculum development and instructional design, with a focus on engaging content creation across various delivery modes.
  • Proven ability to conduct training needs analyses and design effective training programs aligned with organizational and individual objectives.
  • Experience in training delivery and facilitation, with expertise in educational workshop leadership, online teaching methods, and soft skills development.
  • Proficiency in assessment and evaluation, with the ability to develop tools to measure learning outcomes and training effectiveness.
  • Experience in creating and managing mentoring or coaching programs to support employee development and integration.
