Stakeholder Relations Lead/Superintendent

Main purpose of the position
As Eramet’s activity in Indonesia is increasing, the number of relevant stakeholders also increases. This position is intended for an experience hire of 7-10 years of experience in the profession of government relations and familiarity of extractive industries regulations and process. To support in enhancing the Institutional and industry relations of Eramet in Indonesia, track and identify non-technical and non-commercial risks related to mining activities, and at certain level represent the company or company’s management engagements.

 

Scope of the position (key dimensions)
The position is currently set as an individual contributor that will work along and collaborate with other team members from different department, with the scope that covers day to day coordination, and reports on key activities of Eramet Indonesia Mining, Weda Bay Nickel, Sonica Bay, and Exploration / Business Development. The position is expected to operate with a moderate degree of autonomy in situations while ensuring a proactive and aligned approach in interacting with peers and leaders to systematically develop, grow, coordinate and maintain external relationships with critical stakeholders in Indonesia.

 

Major Responsibilities / outputs
a. Support in monitoring to identify opportunities and risks in the realm of regulatory and political dynamics in the country.
b. Engage to follow through on strategic engagements in increasing the traction of Eramet’s business interest in Indonesia.
c. Planning and analyzing stakeholder developments map through direct engagement evaluation on relevancy and sphere of influence.
d. Facilitating problem solving discussions with stakeholders.
e. Execute and maintain owned relationship by Eramet.
f. Provide advice on communication support for company’s position and strategy.
g. Enhance collaboration and support to orchestrate engagements with key stakeholders and business partners to drive Eramet’s advocacy planning.
h. Organize political meetings for high-ranking company associates.
i. Regular mobilization to engage local governments provincial level in which Eramet has interest.
j. Working on special projects as needed and asigned
k. In the short-term to develop relationships with local governments (Ternate first), even if the relationship exists already at IWIP level.
l. Collaborate with Exploration and Business Development team and or other departments when needed.

 

Required qualifications and experience

  • More than 7 years of progressive experience in government relations/ corporate affairs and/or government
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experienced in journalism is a plus
  • Fluent in English, and Bahasa (written and oral) 
  • Having familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of regulations and value chain of mining business.
  • Flexibility and adaptability towards priorities
  • Capable of making informed decision under ambiguous circumstances
  • Capable to operate independently or in a team.
  • 30% of business travel across Indonesia: as required.
