DIRECTOR OF TRACK AND INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE (M/F), Libreville, Gabon

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety at work and railway traffic, complying with environmental standards.
  • Supervise maintenance of fixed installations to ensure optimal availability.
  • Ensure the capacity and reliability of the Transgabonais, thereby contributing to the country's economic growth.

 

Key Figures:

  • Network: 24 stations covering 684 km of main tracks, from Owendo to Franceville.
  • Workforce: 1850.
  • 300,000 passengers transported per year.
  • 7 million tons of goods and freight.
  • Maintenance budget: XAF 14.7 billion (€21.3 million).
  • Operating budget: XAF 5.5 billion (€8.4 million), with XAF 3.9 billion dedicated to the Program for Rehabilitation.
  • Maintenance staff: 183 employees and nearly 500 contract workers.
  • Maintenance scope: 3 department heads, several divisional managers, 6 districts, 12 territorial brigades, 6 functional brigades.

 

Maintenance Management:

  • Lead preventive and corrective operations on the railway track.
  • Manage personnel, budget, contractual relationships, quality, and safety aspects.
  • Organize and coordinate worksites and the management of maintenance equipment.

 

Incident Management:

  • Handle incidents on the railway track and improve production processes.

 

Maintenance Project Management:

  • Manage track works projects, draft specifications, and follow up on service agreements.

 

Profile Required:

  • Civil Engineering degree with over 20 years of experience in heavy railway engineering.
  • International experience in large corporations, ideally in mining sectors.
  • Skills in management, safety, and knowledge transfer.
  • Autonomy, adaptability, sense of the general interest, and high vision
