Technical Director - W/M

Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations, the Technical Director will be responsible for:
- Leading the portfolio of strategic investments (1 Bn XAF Capex, 10 Bn XAF Opex in 2024) and ensuring their execution in line with deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Managing and guiding multidisciplinary teams (270 employees) across engineering, design office, asset management, geology, laboratories, processing, long-term planning, and product quality.
- Defining and deploying the industrial asset management plan and ensuring strong governance in Asset Management.
- Establishing and implementing the medium- and long-term mining strategy, including exploration, resource & reserve estimation, and mine planning.
- Supervising laboratories and mineral processing, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Managing geotechnical, hydrological, and hydrogeological risks, essential for safety and operational sustainability.
- Ensuring product quality and compliance, by overseeing the quality process across the entire value chain.
- Implementing and enforcing Eramet’s technical standards and practices across all operational divisions.
Profile :
Education: Engineering degree or Master’s (Bac+5) in an industrial or mining technical field.
Experience:
- At least 15 years on an industrial site in operations or maintenance,
- At least 8 years in a senior management role,
- Proven experience managing large-scale engineering and construction projects (greenfield/brownfield) in the mining or metallurgical industry, ideally under international conditions.
Technical skills:
- Strong expertise in mining, mineral processing, and metallurgy,
- Solid experience in managing complex projects and driving continuous improvement,
- Strong knowledge of industrial unit maintenance and asset management,
- Confirmed practice in coaching and supporting team development.
Personal qualities: Leadership, rigor, results orientation, adaptability, multicultural openness, respect for HSE standards and communities.
