Job Description:

 

As the ICPE Compliance Officer, you will be at the heart of environmental compliance for an essential industrial operation. You will lead all regulatory activities related to Classified Installations for Environmental Protection (ICPE), while driving overall environmental performance at SLN.

 

Responsibilities:

 

ICPE – Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage the preparation, submission, and follow-up of ICPE regulatory files (permit applications, notifications, technical specifications, etc.).
  • Act as the main point of contact with relevant environmental authorities (DDEE, DIMENC, etc.) on ICPE matters.
  • Oversee the ICPE compliance of all SLN sites and optimize action plans following inspections.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for facility extension or renewal projects.
  • Represent the company in local information committees (CLI) and engage with local stakeholders.

Environmental Risk and Performance Management

  • Align internal environmental standards with applicable legal requirements.
  • Develop risk prevention plans and coordinate environmental monitoring campaigns.
  • Regularly update the Significant Environmental Aspects (SEAs) and associated action plans.
  • Conduct active regulatory watch and ensure internal dissemination of changes.
  • Consolidate and report environmental performance data (compliance, SEAs, incident management, etc.).

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial environmental management.
  • Solid knowledge of ICPE regulations and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Familiarity with New Caledonian environmental regulations is a strong advantage.
