Job Description:

 

The Geological Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable, validated, and interpreted geological data (surface prospecting, geophysics, drilling, geological modeling, resource estimation, technical reports, etc.) in accordance with industry standards.

This data must be integrated into SLN’s mine planning, contributing to the enhancement of ore deposits and the preservation of mining rights.

The engineer also ensures the optimization of geological processes, focusing on cost reduction while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead geological survey, modeling, and resource estimation activities.
  • Ensure the quality, compliance, and integrity of geological data.
  • Contribute to permitting processes and manage environmental and societal impacts.
  • Optimize geological processes and support internal skills development.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Master’s degree (BAC+5) from institutions such as ENSG, École des Mines, or equivalent university degree in Geosciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Expertise in geological modeling and resource estimation, as well as mining project management.
  • Proficient with mining software (Surpac, Vulcan, Leapfrog), GIS (QGIS), Python, and data management.
  • Knowledge of local and international mining regulations.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, with a strong safety and environmental mindset.
  • Proactive, rigorous, exemplary, and a strong team player with excellent listening and communication skills.
