Job Description:

 

Reporting to the Mining Division, you will assume full leadership of the site, acting as the general manager of the industrial operations. Your responsibilities span all managerial, economic, social, and societal aspects of the center, aligned with the goals of a responsible and sustainable enterprise.

You will oversee the site’s safety, economic performance, and productivity, while ensuring a positive internal and external social climate. You will also ensure full compliance with mining and environmental regulations.

Supported by a technically proficient operational team (geologists, planners, production managers, HR), you will focus on leading all strategic and governance processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
  • Oversee all mining activities, from exploration through to production and ore shipment
  • Drive economic and operational performance, aligned with budgetary targets
  • Develop and implement the site’s strategic roadmap, consistent with group objectives and local specificities
  • Lead constructive social dialogue and manage relationships with employee representative bodies
  • Oversee subcontractor management
  • Represent the company to local stakeholders: institutions, authorities, traditional communities, residents
  • Promote CSR initiatives, risk management, security, and compliance best practices
  • Inspire, unite, and develop the site’s teams in close collaboration with operational leaders

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Proven experience in managing an industrial site (100–350 people) within heavy industry, metallurgy, chemical, cement, petrochemical, or extractive sectors
  • Strong skills in general management, change leadership, budget control, and social dialogue
  • Strong awareness of environmental, social, and territorial issues
  • Confirmed leadership and ability to drive teams in a sustainable performance culture
  • Excellent interpersonal and representational skills, cultural adaptability
  • Experience in remote or multicultural environments would be an asset
