Job description :
Reporting to the Upstream-Downstream Department Manager of our ferronickel production plant, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the maintenance of mobile equipment at our industrial site in Doniambo, Nouméa. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment performance and availability while guaranteeing compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Responsibilites :
- Ensure team safety and compliance with environmental and hygiene regulations.
- Implement SLN policies on safety, environment, energy, quality, and operational excellence, and oversee related action plans.
- Oversee the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for mobile equipment, ensuring cost and resource optimization.
- Supervise and lead a maintenance team, fostering skills development and continuous improvement.
- Manage the budget for your scope, monitor expenses, and control operating costs.
- Contribute to defining investment needs and implementing the multi-year fleet renewal plan for mobile equipment.
- Participate in drafting technical specifications and managing tender processes for parts and service procurement.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for mobile equipment maintenance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze equipment failures and propose improvement plans.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and follow up on technical inspections of mobile equipment.
Your profile :
- Engineering degree (BAC+5) in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining or industrial sector.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance methods, budget management, and CMMS tools.
- Extensive expertise in mobile equipment maintenance.
- Ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Speaking French fluently is mandatory
- Technical English proficiency and mastery of IT and office software.
