Operational Central Maintenance Manager - W/M

Job Description:
Reporting to the SLN Plant Management, the Operational Central Maintenance Manager is responsible for two core missions across the maintenance and operations departments:
- The management of civil engineering tyres and belt vulcanisation,
- All reconditioning services for mechanical components and power electronics.
He/she anticipates equipment failures and optimises workshop profitability, in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, while developing team skills and motivation, and ensuring cost control and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Oversight
- Build maintenance plans in line with production requirements and plant safety,
- Monitor key performance indicators and manage industrial risks,
- Manage safety and ensure compliance with environmental and hygiene regulations,
- Contribute to the rollout of SLN policies (safety, environment, energy, quality, operational excellence) and their action plans,
- Plan budgetary priorities, cascade objectives and optimise available resources.
Organisation & Coordination
- Schedule work while taking into account safety requirements and operational constraints,
- Coordinate the activities of the central workshop,
- Manage planned shutdowns, general overhauls and major maintenance campaigns,
- Optimise spare parts and technical warehouse management, contribute to drafting technical procurement specifications, to preparing and analysing tenders, and to post-contract monitoring,
- Define the scope of outsourced maintenance and oversee Operational Central Maintenance profit centre services.
Team Management
- Lead and develop the workshop maintenance teams, ensuring continuous skills development,
- Ensure the application of Health, Safety and Environment procedures,
- Manage real-time communications during incidents or critical events.
Technical Management & Continuous Improvement
- Analyse production losses and bottlenecks, and drive corrective action plans,
- Deploy Lean, Total Productive Maintenance and Reliability approaches,
- Propose investment projects (equipment renewal or improvement).
Safety, Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards: machinery safety, regulations,
- Lead internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and periodic checks,
- Define and monitor Health, Safety and Environment action plans.
Your Profile:
You hold a Master's degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in a generalist engineering discipline, with a specialisation in mechanical or electrical engineering, and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of industrial maintenance.
You also bring:
- Proven experience in team management,
- Managerial courage and strong negotiation skills,
- Solid command of budgetary and technical management,
- Mastery of maintenance methods and procedures, as well as Computerised Maintenance Management System tools,
- Operational technical English, combined with good proficiency in IT, office software and maintenance management systems.
