Job description:

Our Plant Department is looking to recruit a Plant Utilities Manager (F/H) on a permanent contract to work at its plant in Nouméa, New Caledonia.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, in compliance with safety and environmental conditions, the Utilities Manager oversees the operation and preventive and corrective maintenance of HV/LV electricity, industrial water, industrial gas, fuel oil and pulverized coal installations. He/she is responsible for optimizing and improving the operation of installations by implementing control and control assistance systems.

 

 

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate plant utility operations, including power generation, water management, effluent treatment and other ancillary services,
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of utility equipment and installations to guarantee optimal operation,
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operating costs,
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams (operations, maintenance), ensure their ongoing training and assess their performance,
  • Work closely with other plant departments and support services to ensure efficient integration of utility-related activities into the overall production process.

 

Your Profile:

  • Higher education in engineering or equivalent,
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position, ideally in the heavy industry sector,
  • Strong team management, strategic planning and problem-solving skills,
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial utilities technologies and equipment,
  • Team management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to make informed decisions,
  • Mastery of various quality standards and certifications.
