Job Description:
As a Safety Engineer (F/M), you will contribute to SLN’s operational safety strategy.
Reporting to the Operational Safety Strategy Manager within SLN’s Safety Department, you will help implement and deploy health and safety prevention programs and tools.
Your role will involve promoting a safety culture to embed risk management into all activities.
You will support the consistency of practices and contribute to the development of data management systems to enable tailored analysis and performance tracking.
You will also participate in the development and deployment of advanced technology tools, such as IoT-based systems.
Responsibilities:
In close collaboration with operational teams, safety specialists, and support functions, your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Safety Strategy: Deploy policies and procedures in compliance with legal standards and best practices.
- Prevention Programs: Design and implement safety promotion programs and initiatives.
- Reporting & Management Tools: Develop and optimize tools to improve risk prevention and management. Facilitate their use and reporting.
- Document Management: Contribute to drafting and ensuring the quality and consistency of standards, procedures, and instructions.
- Data Management & Analysis: Structure and optimize data management; analyze trends and define appropriate action plans.
- Project Management: Lead, coordinate, and support transformation projects to sustainably implement new prevention programs.
- Group Collaboration: Participate in group-wide initiatives and help roll out corporate safety guidelines.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks to employees and installations.
- Safety Event Management: Lead incident/event follow-up.
- Technological Tools: Deploy and integrate advanced technologies.
- Technology and Regulatory Watch: Stay up to date on new technologies and regulatory changes.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver training programs to develop employees’ safety knowledge and skills.
Your Profile:
You hold an Engineering Degree or a Master’s in Science (QHSE, risk management, industrial engineering, etc.), and you have at least 3 years of experience in safety within an industrial setting, along with:
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and agility,
- Teamwork and project management skills,
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to deliver effective training,
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations and standards,
- Proficiency in risk analysis techniques (EVRP, HAZOP),
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methods,
- Familiarity with digital management tools (e.g. PowerBI) and connected safety technologies (Industry 4.0 tools).
