Decarbonisation & Sustainability Manager W/M

Job Description :
We are looking for a Decarbonisation & Sustainability Manager to structure and lead the value proposition of our products based on their Energy, Climate and Environmental performance. This role requires strong coordination skills, a structured project mindset, and a real ability to embed sustainability into everyday business thinking. The technical scope of the role is from mining to metallurgy, including life cycle analysis, traceability, and digital tools, makes it a unique opportunity to play a key part in the industry’s environmental transition. The position is based in Paris.
Responsibilities:
- Structure and lead the product promotion strategy based on Energy, Climate, and ESG performance, across all product lines.
- Identify client needs and market trends through commercial interactions, competitive benchmarking, and international regulatory watch.
- Develop RSE/CO2 positioning materials in coordination with Sustainability, Decarbonization teams and production sites, using relevant KPIs.
- Respond to client inquiries and questionnaires, ensure data accuracy, and coordinate with internal experts when needed.
- Organize and facilitate client engagements on RSE, traceability, and decarbonisation topics, and maintain a detailed record of exchanges.
- Identify and support clients receptive to ESG value, co-building projects aligned with their current and future expectations.
- Drive the Group’s traceability roadmap: project management, platform development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Promote the Group’s traceability initiatives via industry conferences, working groups, and stakeholder communications.
- Build and roll out the PCF/LCA roadmap (Product Carbon Footprint / Life Cycle Analysis) and deliver certified results to clients.
- Contribute to decarbonisation efforts (Scopes 1, 2, and 3): monitor client commitments, calculate emissions, run action plans, and initiate partnerships.
- Continuously benchmark downstream initiatives and competitor collaborations on sustainability and decarbonisation.
- Serve as the Decarbonisation and ESG point of contact for the Commercial Department: internal training, expert coordination, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree or engineering background in Energy, Environmental, or Process Engineering, or Business School/University with at least 4 years of experience in sustainability and/or decarbonisation, ideally in mining and/or metallurgy sectors.
- Strong understanding of industrial processes in mining and metallurgy.
- Solid knowledge of Energy/Climate and Environmental issues and related strategic challenges.
- Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Knowledge of GHG Protocol and ISO 14044 / ISO 14067 standards is a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity and a keen interest in diverse technical subjects.
- Excellent interpersonal and pedagogical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously with rigor and structure.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Capacity to build, maintain, and animate internal and external networks.
- Strong customer orientation and service mindset.
