Job description:

 

As part of the deployment of Operational Excellence across all its production sites, Eramet has implemented the Eramet Production System (EPS), an integrated operational management system.

The Expert in Mine Operational Excellence and Eramet Production System will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of this system, particularly in process standardization, performance management through short-loop feedback, visual management, change management, and collaboration with operational support functions.

The position is based in Paris and includes frequent travel (more than 50% of the time) to mining sites in Gabon, Senegal, Indonesia, France and New Caledonia.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the deployment of the EPS plan in collaboration with the EPS Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Provide support to sites to ensure coherence and interface with projects associated with EPS, such as Safety, World Class Maintenance (WCM), International Competence Groups (ICG), and Digital Transformation.
  • Work within a global organization recognized for the use of an effective operational management system and high mining operational performance.
  • Lead and coordinate activities between the central project team and site stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach.
  • Promote a culture of process standardization, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the reporting of EPS deployment KPIs within the group.
  • Identify and propose specific performance improvement actions based on standardization work.
  • Actively participate in identifying best benchmarking practices and formalizing them with local teams and ICGs.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Engineering degree in continuous improvement methods or project management.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a global industrial mining or metallurgical group recognized for the use of an effective operational management system.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement tools, including Lean Six Sigma.
  • Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong leadership and federative skills with abilities in change management and project management in challenging contexts.
  • Analytical skills, ability to question the status quo, persuasive, team-oriented, and rigorous.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (oral and written) and fluent in French or capable of communicating in French (oral and written) at the start of the position, with progress towards fluency within 12 months.
