Senior Safety Officer W/M

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Safety Officer to strengthen the activity of the ERAMET Group in terms of risk prevention and control across our sites. In this role, you will work directly in the field, at the heart of our critical sites, to support local teams, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure strict compliance with Group standards. As a true expert, you will serve as a key support to the Group Safety Department as well as to operational management. You will lead extended on-site missions or provide high-impact, targeted interventions such as audits, training sessions, and specific investigations. Your role is part of the Group’s broader continuous improvement strategy for safety performance, requiring a high level of commitment and a strong field presence (up to 75% travel). The position is based in Paris.
Responsibilities:
- Support Safety teams on one or several critical sites (inspections, coaching, training, accident analysis, action plans).
- Develop, share, and promote initiatives that foster a strong safety culture across all sites.
- Contribute to Group-wide safety prevention efforts.
- Work closely with Division, sites, and project leadership teams to meet safety objectives.
- Increase site presence to actively advocate for and implement improvements in safety compliance.
Your Profile:
- Engineering degree or Master’s degree with approximately 15 years of experience, including a proven track record of implementing improvement plans in industrial environments.
- Strong persuasive skills, teaching ability, and persistence.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong writing, facilitation, and teaching abilities to effectively communicate complex content.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
