Tax Specialist - W/M

Job Description
Eramet’s Group Tax and Customs Department is looking for a generalist Tax Specialist to strengthen its team, within the Accounting/Consolidation department, based in Paris 15th. As part of a small, close-knit team reporting to the Finance Department, you will contribute to all of the Group’s tax-related topics, in connection with its international activities across 15 countries. This role offers a stimulating environment where technical tax expertise is closely tied to operational matters.
Responsibilities
- Join the Group Tax Department
- Provide tax recommendations, identify and flag potential risks, propose corrective actions, and assess the tax implications of planned operations
- Advise and assist operational teams, legal and accounting staff (and any other internal stakeholders) on all types of taxation, including drafting tax clauses in contracts
- Analyze tax consequences of restructuring, acquisitions, or divestments, and take part in due diligence processes
- Actively manage tax audits and disputes, including oral and written exchanges (developing response strategies, drafting documentation, conducting negotiations)
- Contribute to the development of transfer pricing policies, assist French and foreign entities with the preparation/review of required documentation and tax forms, and manage CbCR filing
- Support the validation of corporate income tax, deferred taxes, and tax rates for budget forecasts and actual results (primarily in France, occasionally abroad), and perform tax reviews of statutory filings
- Participate in the team’s internal communication efforts by conducting regulatory watch activities (France and internationally) and organizing awareness sessions
- Ensure proper application of tax rules and compliance with obligations, particularly in relation to Pillar 2 standards
Profile
- Graduate degree (Master’s level, Bac+5) in tax law from a university or business/law school dual program
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate taxation, ideally acquired within a large international group or a law firm specializing in tax
- Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken; Spanish is a plus
The role requires both strong technical skills and interpersonal abilities. Beyond providing support to subsidiaries, the position involves building collaborative relationships and showing negotiation capabilities during tax audits
Ability to work independently and manage cases autonomously is expected
