Cost Control Engineer

Main Missions and activities

        Tools and procedures

  • Assist in developing, maintaining and updating the control procedures for the project and ensure their diffusion and implementation with the project internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain Cost Control System selected by SNB project.
  • Cost control budget preparation in line with cost breakdown structure and work breakdown structure
  • Collecting and analysis cost related data; Prepare and maintain cash flow, prepare cost reports which include commitment, actual spending, incurred cost, forecast to go and estimate at completion
  • Change and trend management
  • Variation from budget identification and analysis.
  • Validate and review Contractor payment request and change order.

       

       Project Controls/Coordination

  • Monitor the quantity tracking.
  • To define cost estimation considering international practice if necessary.

 

  Profile and experience

    Essential

  • BA, BS, or MS graduate in engineering or business administration
  • Relevant experience as cost control in large project environment (>500M$) with large and complex industrial capital projects.
  • Diverse international experience, specifically in working with Western Owners, Chinese engineering / construction contractors and equipment suppliers
  • Cost estimate or construction budgeting experience, sound knowledge on quantity measurement and pricing method
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (China, Indonesia, France...)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

 

       Preferred

  • Chinese mandarin and/or Chinese culture, and more optional, some knowledge of French
  • Construction Company Background
  • Metal industry experience
