Deputy Operational Readiness Manager

Main Missions and activities

General

  • Establish assumptions, guidelines, and strategies for the future enterprise, including those for Automation, Operation, IT and Telecommunications, Operational Infrastructure and Maintenance.
  • Define the organizational strategy and structure of the future operation, with the responsible OR stakeholders as needed.
  • Analyze the consistency of the Opex with the operation representative, revising as necessary the report previously issued and the related guidelines and assumptions used.
  • Draw up definitive operational readiness plan and operational readiness deliverables and integrate them into the project planning.
  • Ensure compliance with the term and quality of operational readiness deliverables.
  • Facilitate the resources required to execute the Operational Readiness plan and manage activities as planned.
  • Support HR in recruiting and hiring the operational readiness team and the operational teams for the future operation, in accordance with respective plans.
  • Ensure the implementation of all Management Systems related to the Operation, Maintenance, Production Control, Health and Operational Safety, Environment and Operational Quality.
  • Ensure the qualification of all operation personnel according to plan.
  • Ensure the delivery of all operational procedures and manuals and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure the implementation of the management of materials and services to begin the operation according to the plan.
  • Support commissioning process and ensure handover process is fully carried out.

Operational readiness topic development

  • Support to create the vision and set up the guideline to achieve the shared vision.
  • Identify involved parties and required input for specific operational development topic.
  • Coordinate involved parties’ activities throughout topic development process (collaboration approach, roles & responsibilities, targets, required inputs).
  • Ensure working document control.
  • Support to manage interfaces, minimize overlaps & gaps, both internally and externally.
  • Facilitate training need identification process & support development of training plan.
  • Establish and enforce employee engagement approach.

Profile and experience

Essential

  • Engineer Diploma or master’s in business administration
  • Relevant experience in large project environment (>200M$)
  • Diverse industrial experience, specifically in working with Western Owners, contractors and equipment suppliers
  • English fluency mandatory
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (China, Indonesia, France, Germany...)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite

 

Preferred  

  • Industrial experience in high pressure autoclave operation (ideally Ni HPAL operation) and/ or Nickel refinery will be highly regarded
  • Experience in Mining and Metals industry or similar heavy industrial environment (oil and gas, petrochemistry)
