Electrical Engineer

Main Missions and activities
- Represent the Electrical practice in project engineering coordination/technical meetings
- Maintain close coordination, between Electrical engineering team and other disciplines, of all activities being performed as the design evolves
- Ensure compliance, for his area of expertise, with Project Minimum Owner Requirement in terms of HSE, standards, scope and quality.
- Develop an electrical work plan as input to the project specific engineering execution plan
- Work with the project EPC contractor team during the engineering development and carry out reviews as per project requirements
- Review the electrical and layout design criteria documents
- Review the electrical engineering and design standards
- Review the electrical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings etc)
- Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
- Prepare technical specifications where required
- Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertise
- Represent the electrical practice in project engineering coordination/technical meetings
- Maintain close coordination, between the electrical and other disciplines, of all activities being performed as the design evolves
- Ensure that all work designed, manufactured and supplied in the electrical engineering complies with the relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Participate in the development of Project Safety Management Plan with specific reference to switching, isolation and lockout procedures.
Profile and experience
Essential
- Electrical Engineer with at least 10 years of proven experience in Mining and Metals industry (mineral processing) Projects
- Experience working on large or complex projects in a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience in project with captive power supply arrangement
- Good communication skills and diverse international experience, specifically in working with Western companies, Chinese engineering / construction contractors and equipment suppliers
- Chinese mandarin and fluent in English
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (China, Indonesia, France);
- Ability to function with minimal supervision
- Software: Design software (Autocad), Microsoft pack office (Word, Excel etc.)
Preferred
- Experience in project with captive power supply with multiple power sources (power from steam generator, diesel generator and solar power etc)
- Good understanding of solar power integration with other power sources
