VIE Mechanical Engineer Argentine _ M/F

Location:  ERAMINE SALTA,Argentina
Contract type:  VIE (European candidates)

ERAMET is carrying out a project to produce Lithium Carbonate in the province of Salta, Argentina to supply the growing battery market. The total investment of about 770 M$ includes the construction of a plant, located nearby the Lithium mine at 3800 m altitude and designed to produce 24.000 T/year of lithium carbonate; the industrial start up is foreseen in April 2024.

ERAMET is currently recruiting 1 Mechanical engineer as VIE for 12 months (with possibility up to 24 months) to participate to the commissioning of the mechanical part of the plant within the engineering team of the project.

 

The work will take place in ERAMINE office in SALTA city with frequent working periods at the Plant site.

The engineer will have 3 to 4 months preparation before participating to the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities

 

Job Description and Objectives:

The main scope, according to the priorities given by the Mechanical Lead Engineer will be to prepare and participate to the start-up of the mechanical equipment of the plant.

 

The mission includes consists of to be an active part of the commissioning team, overseeing the mechanical part:

 

  • Prepare of the commissioning for the mechanical part: Participate to reviews of engineering studies of the mechanical equipment (compressors, drier, centrifuge, conveyors, handling systems, solid reagents preparation, samplers, big bags loading and unloading stations, …) in order to prepare the commissioning
  • Define the commissioning detail activities and schedule with the commissioning team
  • Handle the pre-commissioning and commissioning which should start in Q3/2023 with the utilities (Electricity generation, water treatment …) and terminate In April 2024 with the industrial startup of the whole plant.
  • Follow up the ramp up of the plant which should reach its nominal capacity at the beginning of 2025


Required Profile: 

  • University engineering degree. (Bac+5)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • First experience in engineering and/or production of mechanical equipment.
  • English and Spanish speaking
