Eramet Grande Côte, a subsidiary of the Eramet Group in Senegal, specializes in the sustainable development, production, and export of mineral sands, including Ilmenite, Zircon, Rutile, and Leucoxene. Context:

 

Eramet is recruiting a VIE Mechanical Engineer for its Grande Côte site, located north of Dakar in the Thiès and Louga regions. Spanning 100 kilometers along the Senegalese coastline, this site focuses on the extraction of mineral sands. The recruited engineer will join the Improvement Projects and Engineering department, which is responsible for executing all operational CAPEX investment projects. This position aims to strengthen the team to ensure the successful delivery of these crucial projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The VIE will participate in the execution of CAPEX projects throughout their lifecycle, from the initial concept to final construction and commissioning. By integrating new talent at Eramet Grande Côte, this mission will bring added value by introducing fresh approaches to tackle the company’s engineering challenges.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Designing mechanical systems, components, or products in compliance with project requirements.
  • Preparing engineering reports, including design assessments and progress updates.
  • Developing and implementing quality control and assurance processes.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to design or manufacturing quality.
  • Evaluating and selecting suppliers and service providers for materials and components.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Tracking project expenditures and ensuring adherence to the budget.
  • Overseeing project completion, including final testing and commissioning.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Education: Master’s degree (BAC +5) or engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Tools/Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and French.
  • Eligibility: Must meet the five conditions for the VIE status: Conditions du V.I.E | âge, nationalité, formation
