Electronics Engineer
Salta, AR
Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.
Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.
ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
Description:
Within his/her role he/she shall provide competent technical support in relation to the design and engineering services of the specialty in each project, this in order to minimize possible sources of error in the development and execution of the same. He/she must ensure safe and reliable designs in compliance with national and international regulations, as well as Eramet group regulations and Eramine requirements.
- This position reports to: Change Management Superintendent.
- Location : Salta Office, Argentina.
Responsibilities:
- Elaborate and evaluate technical solutions proposing improvements, upgrades and/or modifications for control equipment.
- Coordination and execution of projects with commissioning in the area of instrumentation, automation and control.
- Analyze and report deviations from Design Specifications.
- Programming of PLC/HMI/SCADA applications.
- Analysis, specification and configuration of equipment and instruments.
- Development of Cause and Effect Matrix, technical specifications, instrument list, cable list, wiring system, signal list, data sheets and instrumentation and control maintenance plans.
- Understanding and implementation of industrial communications and networking, in typical IT/OT architectures.
- Understanding of process control architecture (DCS, PLC, ESD, etc.) and control system specification.
- Realization of functional descriptions and logic diagrams.
- Design and define selection criteria for control and automation equipment, sensors and actuators.
- Participation in Risk Analyses such as HAZOP, LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis), What If?, etc.
- Collaborate in the fulfillment of the Change Management KPIs defined for Eramine.
- Provide support and advice to the operational areas on the correct operation of the technical improvements to be carried out. And follow up according to the estimated construction times.
Your profile:
- Electronic Engineer with specialization in Instrumentation and Control.
- Experience of 5 years or more in development of engineering projects in Oil&Gas, mining, pipelines and/or power generation plants.
- Solid knowledge in application of IEC 61511 (Functional Safety) to projects and operations.
- Knowledge and application of ANSI/ISA Codes and Standards.
- Advanced knowledge in electronics, control and manufacturing processes of boards and instrumentation of process equipment.
- Knowledge in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up procedures of process equipment instrumentation.
- Handling of AutoCAD (excludible).
- Availability to work under roster system as needed.
- Proactivity and good interpersonal relations.
