Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.
Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.
Responsibilities :
The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows
- Evaluation and Characterization: Evaluate and characterize lithium brine resources to support the economic feasibility of projects and the expansion of existing ones.
- Mine Plan Scenarios: Generate mine plan scenarios for optimal and sustainable extraction during production. Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Sampling and monitoring: Develop and implement procedures for brine and water well monitoring.
- Brine Interference Analysis: Conduct brine interference analysis to optimize brine quality.
- Hydrogeochemical Data Analysis: Analyze hydrogeochemical data to forecast geochemical evolution.
- Safety and Quality Standards: Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in operations.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and analyze chemical interactions to support process requirements.
- Support Geological Model Team: Provide support to the geological model team in their daily challenges and tasks.
About you:
- University Degree in Geosciences or Engineering
- Ideally with an MSc or PhD in Hydrogeology.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Communication and interpersonal skills,
- Experience in hydrogeological analysis of salt flats and related fields.
- Experience with mining reserves and resources reports (e.g. NI-43101)
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
