OT Technician L1 W/M

Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.
Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.
OT Technician Level 1 W/M
Responsibilities :
The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows:
• Proactive Monitoring and Incident Management
Continuously monitor OT systems, including SCADA, LIMS, HMI, electrical, instrumentation and communication, to detect issues in real-time and ensure system stability.
Rapidly identify, diagnose, and escalate incidents to Level 2 support teams, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize operational disruptions.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Deliver first-level technical support by conducting initial diagnostics, resolving minor issues, and escalating complex faults as necessary.
Collaborate with Level 2 support teams and field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve advanced system malfunctions.
• Operational Continuity and Shift Handover
Maintain accurate and detailed shift handover logs to enable seamless communication and continuity across rotating teams.
Actively monitor system performance during repairs, providing real-time updates and acting as the eyes and ears for Level 2 technicians and local personnel.
• System Performance and Preventive Actions
Analyze system trends to identify recurring issues, recommend preventive measures, and enhance system reliability.
Support the execution of corrective actions and optimizations as part of ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
Regularly update system documentation, including incident records and troubleshooting guides, to build and maintain a robust knowledge base.
Contribute to training materials and assist in educating team members on operational standards, best practices, and system functionality.
• Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and IT/OT staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time updates during incidents, repairs, and system maintenance activities, ensuring clear and timely communication.
About you:
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of standards and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in safety protocols and a deep understanding of HSE regulations.
• Al least 3 years of experience in a technical support or operational role, ideally within an industrial or OT environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge in OT Systems and Application Support: Experience with Networking, SCADA, LIMS, MES, and historian tools (e.g., PI System) monitoring.
• Automation and Control: Knowledge of PLCs and RIO, including Monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Network Monitoring: Basic understanding of OT industrial networks, Spanning Tree, including LAN and VLAN setup and maintenance.
• Incident Management: Proficiency in managing incidents and system changes using tools like ServiceNow, Jira or FreshService.
• Strong understanding of the Production Process
• English (advanced).

• Communication: Skilled at presenting technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
