Operational Excellence Engineer
Salta, AR
Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in the province of Salta, Argentina. Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.
Operational Excellence Engineer
This position reports to: Operational Excellence Coordinator.
Location: Centenario-Ratones Project Salta, Argentina.
Description:
The Operational Excellence Engineer is a critical and participative agent to engage with managers and leaders of operational and support areas of the organization to understand their processes, evaluate deviation from the implementation plan and agree on tactics to align internal processes to the operational excellence master plan.
Responsibilities:
Implement and support continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S, management routines, root cause analysis, visual control, process standardization and management by indicators.
Accompany leaders, managers and operational directors in the development of their daily functions, promoting good leadership and team management practices. Collaborate in the review, improvement and standardization of procedures and work instructions.
Participate in improvement projects focused on operational efficiency, safety, quality and cost reduction.
Support the strengthening of the culture of excellence through the facilitation of tools, work sessions, training and follow-up of initiatives.
Contribute to the design and implementation of document management systems and structuring of operational support information.
Your profile:
Completed university studies, or not owing more than 10% of the industrial or chemical engineering degree.
It is desirable, but not exclusive, to have experience in operational management or ISO standards positions.
Analytical thinking, proactive initiative and autonomy. Ability to work in multidisciplinary and hierarchical environments.
Interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Creativity.
Intermediate - advanced English level
Office MS, power Bi,
Lean methodologies, continuous improvement and visual management. Operational standards, process analysis and diagnostic tools.
