Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a global French mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, at 3,800 meters above sea level, in the Los Andes department, Salta province, Argentina.

Exploration activities began 12 years ago, and at the end of 2019, our pilot plant started operating, demonstrating the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with over 90% efficiency in direct extraction.

 

Job description

 

As the Operational Excellence Manager, you will play a key role in driving the implementation of the Eramet Production System (EPS), ensuring a culture of continuous improvement across our operations. You will lead initiatives aimed at process standardization, waste elimination, and performance optimization, collaborating closely with both operational and support teams to meet corporate objectives.

 

Responsibilities

 

EPS Implementation:

  • Lead the rollout of the Eramet Production System (EPS), aligning project timelines and targets.
  • Standardize operational processes and introduce short-loop performance management systems.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.

 

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Serve as the main link between central EPS teams and local site operations.
  • Integrate EPS with other initiatives, including safety programs, World Class Maintenance, and digital transformation.
  • Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth workflows.

 

Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EPS.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions for enhanced performance.
  • Lead benchmarking efforts and share best practices across sites.

 

Change Management:

  • Manage resistance to change through workshops, training, and direct team support.
  • Lead cultural transformation initiatives to sustain long-term improvements.

 

Your Profile

 

Education:

  • Engineering degree, preferably in continuous improvement, project management, or a related field.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of operational experience in industrial mining or metallurgical or chemical or heavy industry environments with world-class operational standards.
  • Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience working in multicultural environments is essential.

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Leadership and change management capabilities to unite teams around shared objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
