Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.
Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.
Process Safety Superintendent W/M
Responsibilities :
The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows:
• Lead the development of the process safety activities, Standards, specifications, or any type of change in the process or project.
• Perform/ Lead hazard analysis and Risk assessment initiative, including HAZOP, HAZID and What If Analysis, and when required, lead investigations regarding Process Safety of incidents with an impact on the quality of operations and safety of people, equipment and environment, providing corresponding recommendations when required.
• Apply, always respect, and instil work procedures, regarding process safety and, in the case of executing a new task, assist to develop the procedure for its documentation and manage them in the different systems.
• Stay updated with new standards and best practices that are implemented in the industry, and lead the implementation of them in the rest of the team(s)
• Analyze and assess potential hazards, develop safety protocols, and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
• Interact with the rest of the team in order to assess the best technical & economical Solution.
• Work closely with other engineers, safety professionals, and management to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Train staff on safety procedures and ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
About you:
• Chemical, Industrial Engineer or similar.
• Verifiable experience in similar roles and in production processes, 5 to 10 years.
• Preferably with knowledge of Lithium production processes.
• Knowledge of Control System and measurement equipment.
• Experience in developing and designing documents including training manuals, process schematics, flowcharts, and implementation procedures.
• Have a strong commitment to security and safety in remote work under cycles, proactive, good interpersonal relationships, communication and leadership skills, commitment to results, and adaptation to changes.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and Control Systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks.
• Knowledge of Industrial Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of AIChE/ NFPA/ API Standards
• Advanced level in English, written and spoken.
