Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.

Responsibilities :

The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Overall planning of the operation of the plants to meet annual goals and objectives. This includes the commissioning, start-up, commissioning and continuous improvement stages.
  • Participation in the selection, recruitment and care of the personnel in charge: planning and effective control of induction and refresher training.
  • Development of the human resources in charge, with a special focus on supervision.
  • Carrying out the annual appraisal of the staff in charge
  • Presentation of the annual plant safety and environmental plan, including goals and objectives.
  • Planning of the inputs required to meet the annual production plan, in time and form
  • Participation in the commissioning, start-up and development of improvement projects.
  • Presentation of the annual plant operating budget
  • Leading the maintenance of updated operating procedures and their strict enforcement
  • Collaborate to carry out periodic preventive and corrective maintenance of plants
  • Reporting and informing management developments in a timely manner
  • Follow up in detail on product quality and production efficiency issues
  • Participate in accident and non-conformance investigation teams
  • Provide technical information on equipment and systems for purchasing or project evaluation.
  • Actively participate in Eramine's improvement projects.

About you:

  • University studies preferably in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
  • With at least 5 years of experience in management positions in production plants with physicochemical transformation and availability to work in the Puna area.
  • Ability to work in a team, leadership, drive to achieve results, organisational and planning agility, focused on customer needs.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish
  • Extensive knowledge of MS office
  • Eramine's work culture and strategy; safety, quality and environmental management systems; internal plant procedures; operational, safety and budgetary IT systems in use.
