Quality Lead

Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency. 

Quality Lead

 

Responsibilities : 
The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows:
•    Quality Control and Assurance
-    Ensure fast and reliable analysis of product samples, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
-    Oversee the cataloguing, preservation, and proper care of samples, including counter-samples for verification.
-    Guarantee the issuance of Certificates of Analysis (COA) for each batch of product.
•    Equipment and Process Maintenance
-    Ensure regular calibration, maintenance, and preservation of laboratory and QA/QC equipment.
-    Execute routine checks and care activities to uphold equipment and process standards.
-    Monitor process variations and ensure swift adaptation to process changes affecting product quality.
•    Supervision and Coordination
-    Lead and supervise the two Field Quality Specialists to ensure effective quality monitoring along the production line.
-    Foster close collaboration between the quality team and the laboratory to provide accurate and reliable service.
-    Act as the primary point of contact for QA/QC-related issues and ensure alignment with organizational quality standards.
•    Continuous Improvement
-    Identify areas for improvement within QA/QC processes and recommend enhancements to procedures and tools.
-    Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements in quality assurance and implement relevant updates.

 

About you: 
•    Education: Bachelor’s Graduate in Chemistry, Graduate in Bromatology, Chemical Analyst; Chemical Technician, Technician in Process Industries, Biological Chemical Analyst or related careers.
•    Experience:
-    Minimum of 8 years proven experience in the Mining, Oil & Gas Industry or in Research and/or Development Laboratories applying to these industries and with at least 3 years proven experience in the position.
-    Proven experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in a production or laboratory setting.
-    Leadership experience with small teams or specialists is a plus.
•    Technical Skills:
-    Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, including sample analysis and equipment calibration.
-    Familiarity with quality certification standards and procedures (e.g., COA).
-    Proficiency in using laboratory and quality control equipment.
•    Interpersonal Skills:
-    Effective leadership and team management abilities.
-    Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
-    Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
