Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Manager - Energy & Assets eager to drive contributions to asset efficiency and decarbonization. This pivotal role involves ensuring efficient data collection, accuracy, integrity, and security while supporting strategic decision-making in our sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management & analysis, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead data initiatives across the organization. This role is based in our R&D center in Trappes (78) and requires frequent travels.

Responsibilities:

Data Governance:

  • Enforce data management policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework to support the organization’s data strategy, particularly in energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts.

Data Quality:

  • Ensure the appropriate collection, accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Implement data quality improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.

Data Security:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies.
  • Implement and manage data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Database Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop user-friendly dashboards, optimize database performance, backup, and recovery processes.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain data reporting systems to provide actionable insights for energy efficiency, maintenance and decarbonization projects.
  • Work with business units, mine and industrials sites to understand data needs and deliver customized reports and dashboards.

Asset Efficiency and Decarbonization Focus:

  • Lead data initiatives that support the organization’s goals in reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and analyze data related to energy usage, waste and water consumption and carbon footprint.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor onsite teams of data professionals, promoting a culture of efficiency and innovation.
  • Collaborate with CTO, onsite and cross-functional teams to ensure data needs are met and support organizational goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and sustainability.
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve data management processes and drive organizational efficiency.

 

Your profile:

  • Higher education degree in Computer Science or Data Sciences (Master’s or equivalent), Industrial Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering with a qualification in data management or analysis (training in Python, SQL).
  • Minimum of 5 years in an industrial environment, with strong experience in data management and analysis, and process control.
  • Proficient in tools for transforming raw data into useful information.
  • Experience with visualization and reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Certification in data management or equivalent (DAMA CDMP).
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
  • Experience in project management and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
