  • Translate technical challenges into business opportunities, identifying innovation pathways that support operational performance, product development and strategic growth.
  • Uphold scientific quality and methodological rigor across all projects and deliverables.
  • Foster strategic collaborations with external partners, such as universities, research institutes, and technology providers, to leverage external knowledge and capabilities and accelerate innovation outcomes.
  • Act as a technical referent within the Group for geometallurgy and mineral processing, demonstrating both deep subject matter expertise and exemplary leadership behaviour.
  • Oversee operational aspects of the department, including laboratory and pilot facility management, budgeting and equipment investment planning.

Profile:

  • 10+ years of experience in R&D within the mining and metals industry, with strong experience managing a team.
  • Substantial experience at industrial sites in technical, operational or project roles, providing a solid understanding of field realities and value drivers.
  • Strong leadership and change management capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence across levels.
  • Fluent in French and English.
