Transformation & IROC Director (M/F)

Job Description:

  • The Transformation & IROC Director (M/F), a member of the Central Technical Office Management at Eramet, plays a strategic role within the Group.
  • As a key actor, he/she develops and implements the necessary transformations for the establishment of integrated operations control centers (IOC/IROC) for each site or Business Unit.
  • This strategic role is created to carry the Group's ambition and align resources and approaches (people, technology, processes), ensure data management, position/prioritize digital innovations at the right level of ambition, and coordinate all efforts to implement IOC/IROC.
  • The scope of the position covers the mines and plants of the ERAMET group.
  • He/She leads a team of 6 managers and expert engineers.
  • He/She collaborates closely with the operational and technical directions of the operating sites, as well as with the CTO management team and the IT management team.
  • This role requires a strong cross-functional involvement and influencing capacity at the Group level.
  • The Transformation & IROC Director (M/F) reports to the Chief Technical Officer of the Operations Division at Eramet.
  • The position is based in France, at the Central Technical Office, Trappes or Paris.
  • Business trips to our Group's sites worldwide are to be expected around 50% of the time.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This strategic role within our teams aims to pilot the various integrated operations control center (IOC/IROC) deployment programs across our different sites and Business Units.
  • Through their influencing skills and expertise in mining and metallurgical operations, the Transformation & IROC Director (M/F) will coordinate, support, and ensure organizational changes, associated change management, deployment roadmaps (priority, cost control, ROI...), data governance, and prioritization of related digital innovations.
  • He/She leads the team towards excellence, promotes continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes and activities, contributing to the development of the skills pool for the five-year needs of the operations.
  • He/She defines, coordinates, and pilots in collaboration with the sites and functional support services the roadmaps (timelines, budget, resources, HR, IT, OI) for implementing integrated operations centers, including:
    • Management and governance of all data (from geology to clients).
    • Integrated value chain and planning in collaboration with the Operational Excellence & Supply Direction.
    • Hardware roadmap and priority in collaboration with central and local IT.
    • Roadmap and priority for the development of digital innovation and data science.
    • Data analysis and qualification of digital innovation topics/opportunities.
    • Organizational adaptation roadmap and change process.
  • He/She will have specific responsibilities, including:
    • Setting long-term objectives and evolution strategy.
    • Defining and ensuring the implementation plan and different stages.
    • Organizing workshops (gap analysis, action plan, steering) and implementing workshops.
    • Entrusting one or more project managers (functions) with the design and realization of studies and projects.
    • Understanding needs and expectations for evolution.
    • Coordinating changes' implementation in various services and supervising the steps.
    • Ensuring the progress of changes is tracked.
    • Ensuring the achievement of objectives, timeline, and budgets.

 

Your Profile:

  • Higher education in engineering, minimum Master of Science level.
  • Experience: 15 years in mining or metallurgical operations.
  • Successful experience in implementing integrated operations centers.
  • Expertise in Project Management and Operational Excellence.
  • Good command of Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of Data Management.
  • Familiarity with the mining and metallurgical industry.
  • Result-oriented.
